What a wild few weeks it has been ^_^ Between Otafest and Anime North I practically got no sleep. I wanted to thank Starwave for allowing the fool to tour Canada. Gunji , Taka and Guu you were so much fun. Good luck with the new album ^_^ HITT -san, your stage performance at Anime North was amazing, if you were unable to attend you missed out.

To Otafest : Rose, Jenny, Nathan, Stephanie and countless others whose names have temporarily eluded me, your con rocks and thanks for taking such good care of us.

A shout-out also to Anime North for the great venue. Fifi , you were an awesome translator , thanks so much for all your help.

Finally to my fellow JNP staffers- everyone worked so hard, the Karaoke challenge is still on right? Please get some sleep . LOL.

Do you have a favourite artist that you dream of seeing live, just once in your lifetime? In Japanese Music, my dreams are quite simple, L'Arc en Ciel( I was able to see hyde live twice in NY with VAMPS, but VAMPS is not L'Arc), TMR and a man by the name of Gackt Camui. Gackt is about to make some fans really happy in Europe with his recently announced tour. With no pre-sale to Japanese Dears!!

When you attended the Toronto Film Festival you mentioned how surprised you were by the response from your fans. You said you were happy people knew who you were in Toronto. You promised that one day you would perform here in T-Dot.

Gackt, come to Canada pretty please. (Not as SKIN- an interesting collaboration that I still missed since I could not go to California) If X-Japan came to our neck of the woods in all their epic glory so can you. Please do not forget us.

HITT will be performing live at Anime North in Toronto May 27-29! I really hope you will all be able to join us for a wonderful evening of music straight from Japan. ^_^

In less than a weeks' time the fool will be performing in both Calgary and in the T-Dot. Please come out and support their first Canadian appearances at Otafest May 20-22, and Anime North May 27-29. Hope you will be able to join the fool's ~ canadian crazy crew~ ^-^

J Rock North Promotions will be at the Toronto Wizard Con that is happening at the Direct Energy Centre on CNE grounds from March 18-20, 2011. We will have a table. If you are attending please stop by and say Hi.

There seems to be a lot going on including photo ops with Star Wars and Buffy the Vampire Slayer cast members. This year's guests are win-win for me as Buffy is one of my all time favourite shows and Star Wars is one of my favourite movie franchises ( Orignal series and Clone Wars cartoons only. I'm one of the many people that pretend the prequels do not exist . LOL) They also have some guests from Battlestar Galatica so I may spend some time wondering around. Hope to see you there ^_^

I would like to take this time on the behalf of JNP to express our deep sadness at the ongoing crisis in the northeast of Japan due to the large Earthquake and Tsunami that hit almost a week ago. To all the people we have been privileged to meet and work with from Japan over the years please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you at this terrible time.

If you can afford to we encourage you to please give to one of the many wonderful charities that have stepped forward to help.

Hi all my name is Tasha and I am going to be posting to the new and improved J Rock North Promotions LJ. *bows. My first post is to thank all the people who have supported JNP over the years and to ask that you please continue to support us in the future. This year is an exciting one and I hope all of you will be able to join us.

As posted previously THE FOOL is coming to both Otafest in Calgary May 20-22 and Anime North in Toronto May 27-29th, 2011. THE FOOL was kind enough to post a special message to their Canadian fans about their visit. They seem really excited about coming to Canada for the first time. We hope to see you all there ^_^

After a lot of work sorting more than 40 artists, we have completed a list for music fans and Japanese music enthusiasts here in Toronto, Canada. It is your turn to let us know who YOU want to see in the next year.

As you may know, we would love to work with as many artists as we can next year, but want to get an idea of who YOU want more than anything.

Just leave a comment here on our myspace, our facebook, Twitter or LJ . We will be compiling a list from your votes at all of our events.

(After compiling this list it is possible that some of the artists may be in hiatus. Remember this is just a list of who we hope to work with and in no way represents anything official…though we may surprise you ^^)
